German physicians, in World War II preformed many experiments on the prisoners in the concentration camps. These prisoners did not agree to these experiments and they were painful and many of the times deadly. These medical experiments went on throughout the Third Reich and can be divided into three sections. The first section was all about experiments toward facilitating the Axis military personnel to stay alive.
The second section of the experimenting went toward making and experimenting pharmaceuticals and ways to take care of wounds and sickness which German militrary occupation personnel faced in the field. The third section of the experimentation was to make the racial and ideological tenets of the Nazi worldveiw newer. Joseph Mengele's experiments at Auschwitz were the least famous experiments. Medical Experiments were also conducted on twins by Mengele. Also serological experiments on Roma (Gypsies) were preformed, Werner Fischer at Sachsenhausen also did too, so they could figure out how differnt "races" could stand differnt contagious diseases.
